Writers, there's a brand-new, faster way to write a novel or memoir in your authentic voice!
Want to improve your writing, finish stories faster, and have more fun on your journey to traditional publication?
If so, I’m thrilled to open registration at a special, introductory price for my new MFA-level course, Write Your Book Faster (in Your Authentic Voice) with AI.
AI will not replace good writers. It will replace writers of poorly-executed stories and cause the rest of us to improve our skills. Happily, there will always be readers who want to read human-written books.
I'll help you cut through all the noise and give you the simplest path to the best, quickest results possible.
AI can transform your writing but you must know the most effective prompts to give it, and be able to evaluate what it gives you back. This means you still have to know how to write fiction!
So if you want to write a novel (or memoir) that’s powerful and authentic that you can submit to a traditional publisher, this membership will guide you through every simple step from start to finish.
I'll show you how to get started with AI, the best prompts to use, and how to evaluate AI's response in bite-sized lessons so you don't waste your energy and time.
When Are The Live Sessions?
Live sessions are the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 2 - 3.30 PM ET / 11 - 12.30 PST

* Practice writing with AI
* Use transformative AI prompts that unleash a flood of ideas for new material and bust through your writing blocks
* Understand new ways in which AI can facilitate the rapid transformation of our art
* Learn to get developmental edits and feedback to strengthen our stories (without having the AI write for us)
How Will I Learn?
Instructional videos will be posted every Tuesday (4 x pm) and live sessions with Tessa are twice a month.
What will I Learn?
New weekly MFA-level craft videos will be posted on Tuesdays inspired by classic craft books such as WRITING FICTION by Janet Burroway and WRITING UNFORGETTABLE CHARACTERS by James Scott Bell.
The videos will cover how to write a novel or memoir from start to finish:
- Plan and write your novel (or a memoir that reads like a novel) –Follow easy steps from no idea at all to a finished novel (with a strong premise that's more likely to attract a literary agent).
- Develop your unique voice – Vital now that AI is here! Learn how to stand out with a voice that's undeniably yours.
- Infuse your lived experiences – Make your stories unique, deeply human, and engaging to readers who crave authenticity.
- Combine MFA-level writing with page-turning stories – This approach captures the “upmarket” fiction market that will always favor human authors.
- Use AI as a developmental editor to brainstorm and enhance your creativity without losing your authentic voice.
- Stay on top of the best, traditional publisher-approved AI tools – Keep your book eligible for traditional publishing deals.
- Follow Tessa's Author Journey – Follow along as I record how I use AI assistance (NOT generation) to help me write as efficiently as possible.
